Football represents much more than entertainment or collective fervor on days when the team wins. Where other institutions have lost their legitimacy, it remains a means of integration whose reality is often muddied by its treatment by the media.

With Philippe Guimard he is the author of Traîtres à la nation ? Un autre regard sur la grève des Bleus en Afrique du Sud (La Découverte, 2011) (National traitors? A different perspective on the strike by the French national team in South Africa).
