Using the case of Henry Howard Holmes, who built a “murder castle” where he committed several dozen murders, Alexandra Midal invites us to reflect on the almost simultaneous emergence of the industrial revolution and the serial killer.
In her investigation she examines this almost simultaneous development. She describes the rationality of new production methods of which the assembly line and serial murder are two emanations.
