David Puaud is a street youth worker. When one of the youths he was following was imprisoned for inhuman crimes, he wants to understand.
In this book we discover the path of this young criminal’s life through a veritable immersion in a working-class area whose community has been marked by unemployment.
Although trying to understand does not mean justifying or even less excusing, it very often provides an invaluable perspective and possibly the basis for prevention.
David Puaud, is an anthropologist, trainer and researcher who, since 2005, has focused his research on the management of disadvantaged suburban areas based on actions in French working-class neighborhoods. He is the author of Le Travail social ou l’art de l’ordinaire (Fabert, 2013).
