Naturalisation and acquisition of nationality policies, migrant reception and residence policies, asylum policies, recognition of the rights of minorities and immigration control policies: this review focuses on Europe with an emphasis on the impact of European development on national politics. Nicolas Fischer, a graduate of the IEP de Paris (Paris Institute of Political Studies), has a PhD in political science and is a CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) research fellow at (CESDIP) the Centre de recherche sociologique sur le droit et les institutions pénales (sociological research centre on law and penal institutions) a CNRS research laboratory (UMR8183 [Joint research unit]) attached to the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the Ministry of Justice. He is also a member of the Borders and Boundaries research network.
Camille Hamidi, a graduate of the IEP de Paris, has a PhD in political science, is a senior lecturer in political science at the Lumière Lyon-II University and is a member of the Triangle research laboratory (UMR 5206 CNRS - ENS Lyon/IEP de Lyon/université Lyon-II).
