A dive into the world of sea transportation, the very heart of logistical capitalism, revealing what goes on behind the scenes aboard these gigantic vessels in the race to get our consumer goods to us.
This is an unprecedented "on-board ethnography". An original and in-depth investigation aboard commercial sea freighters, into unventured territory (carried out by a woman in an almost exclusively male environment that is still extremely gender dominated and stereotyped).
A first-person account that gives seafarers a voice and portrays a vivid account of life on board.
